On the 16th of February 2023 the Sunshine Coast District Ladies Bowls Association amalgamated with the Sunshine Coast District Men’s Bowls Association. Together we are now known as the Sunshine Coast District Bowls Association Inc. (SCDBA) Our website is a combination of all aspects of both the past Ladies and past Men’s Associations.
The Calendar is tracking Special Club Events, District Events, Zone, State and National Events together with the Winter Carnival.
The District is made up of 18 affiliated clubs consisting of Buderim, Club Kawana, Club Maroochydore, Club Mooloolaba, Coolum Beach, Cooroy, Glasshouse Country, Headland Pacific, Maleny, Mapleton, Nambour, Nambour Heights, Palmwoods, Pelican Waters, Tewantin-Noosa, Waves Caloundra, Woombye and Yandina with a total membership of 3,800

The District conducts all competitions that progress to Zone and State level together with District Championships, Mixed Events and the very popular and very successful Winter Bowls Carnival, which, in 2023 will be it’s 59th year..
The inaugural meeting of the SCDLBA was held on 11th September 1970 at the Mooloolaba Bowls Club with Joan Perren as President and J. Arnold as Secretary. There were 14 clubs with a total of 493 members.
In 2003/4 Bowls Queensland (formerly Queensland Ladies Bowling Association) changed the boundaries in Queensland and the Sunshine Coast and North Coast Districts were merged to become the current Sunshine Coast Ladies Bowling Association.
The newly formed District Association runs District events and competition for the members of these Clubs and some of these competitors then qualify for events at State level. All of the Clubs have their social bowling every week but also run a few major events each year themselves. Check out the Events Calendar on this website.
