How do I register for an event?

Follow the links to the registration page on the SCDBA website and select your event.

You can register on the day if the event is not full. Please note however that on-the-day registrations will incur an extra administration charge.

What does it cost to register?

Pricing for each event is available on the event nomination form or by going to the appropriate event’s detail page on this website.

When does registration close?

Online registration closes on the Friday before each event, if the event is not full. You can also register on the day if the event is not full, however this will incur an extra administration charge.

Can I change or transfer my registration?

Registration is non-transferable.

Special Circumstances

In special circumstances with more than two weeks before the event, event directors may review the entry and allow transferred registration on a case-by-case basis.

What if I have to withdraw from an event?

If you withdraw with more than two weeks notice, your entry will be refunded (minus a 20% administration fee). If you withdraw with less than two weeks notice or do not show up on the day, unfortunately your registration fee will be forfeited.

What do I have to do on the day?

What happens if an event is cancelled?

If an event is cancelled due to extreme weather, natural disaster or other incidents beyond the organizers’ control the event will be rescheduled at a later date with no refunds given.

What happens if the event is sold out?

Numbers are limited at each event for participant safety and environmental reasons. When an event is sold out a notice will be posted on the Sunshine Coast District Men’s Bowls Association and in the Winter Bowls Carnival 2010 newsletter.

No entries will be accepted after an event’s capacity has been reached.

No ‘On The Day’ entries will be accepted when the event is full.

Where possible event organisers will make every effort to advise participants when entries are close to capacity via the newsletter and on the SCDMBA website, however entries may close without notice.

What if I’ve won a category prize and I cannot stay for the presentations?

If you have won a category prize and cannot stay for the presentation, please contact event organizers.
